Katharina Preuss heads the global Automotive Division

REMA TIP TOP, the pioneer of tyre repair patches, continues to accelerate its growth. Katharina Preuss has now been appointed Global Head of the Automotive Division. Ms Preuss brings over 30 years of international sales experience in tyres and tyre workshop requirements (most recently with global responsibility), and is now aiming to strategically expand this business division. “Mobility concepts of the future open up new business fields which, based on the tyre repair of today, offer our division immense growth opportunities. Ms. Preuss will cooperatively develop these opportunities alongside our customers and subsidiaries,” says Patric Scheungraber, member of the management board of REMA TIP TOP AG who oversees the Automotive Division.

Starting April 1, 2018, Katharina Preuss will head the Automotive business unit of REMA TIP TOP AG. She has over 30 years of international sales experience in tyres and tyre workshop requirements, most recently with global responsibility. In her new position, Katharina Preuss will report directly to the management board of REMA TIP TOP AG.

“REMA TIP TOP isn’t synonymous with quality and expertise just in the world of tyre repair,” says Katharina Preuss. Since brothers Otto and Willi Gruber developed a form of tyre repair using a vulcanized patch in 1923, this technology has conquered the world. “REMA TIP TOP’s technological leadership also explains our close partnership with our customers,” she explains. “E-mobility, new vehicle systems and transport concepts will fundamentally change our world in the next 10 to 20 years. As leading experts in tyre and car service and repair, we must actively witness and shape this change. Both on the manufacturer side as well as on the workshop side, as a partner for equipment and the supply of goods. This is a challenging task that I’m very much looking forward to.”
